My MIL had just celebrated her 60th birthday on the first week of January. It was a simple birthday celebration held at the Imperial Treasure Nan Bei Restaurant in Singapore. The ambience is nice and food is up to standard. For 10 adults and 2 kids, the bill came up to about $500 which is quite reasonable given the location at Takashimaya.
Usually on a birthday, you would expect a person to receive gifts but my MIL is a very nice woman. She prepared red packets (a.k.a. ang baos) for each and every of us :) Although the ang baos contain ringgit, I felt that a nice gesture of saying thank you. :)
